Note to myself...

The reality is accelerating, especially if you're in X. Often, you see progress all around you in robotics, and you end up feeling inadequate. Every minute, a new paper is being released on arXiv and posted on X, and within an hour becomes the new norm for doing things. Although progress is a necessity in the field of robotics, other people's progress leads to your depression and jealousy. I see this happening to me more frequently than usual.

I truly believe finding the right motivation for doing things can solve this issue. What is the correct motivation? Money, well, kinda but not entirely., Having enough money to not worry about money on a day-to-day basis is good enough. The correct motivation for me is to further my understanding of nature and apply it to robotics to solve a real-world problem. That's it, this motivation can last me a lifetime.

Whenever I feel down or depressed, I just need to come back and look at this post.
